{"id":1364,"date":"2014-11-10T17:20:14","date_gmt":"2014-11-10T16:20:14","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/cause.ch\/lab\/?p=1364"},"modified":"2014-11-29T05:18:05","modified_gmt":"2014-11-29T04:18:05","slug":"porte-des-savoirs","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/cause.ch\/lab\/we-are-the-cause-en\/porte-des-savoirs\/","title":{"rendered":"Porte des Savoirs"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"arx_pad_2 center_text\">\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"\/\/player.vimeo.com\/video\/92320972?title=0&amp;byline=0&amp;portrait=0&amp;color=ffffff\" width=\"640\" height=\"360\" frameborder=\"0\" webkitallowfullscreen mozallowfullscreen allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div>\n<p class=\"arx_0 center_content arx_pad_1\">\nProjet: <b>Video Presentation<\/b><br \/>\nCause Team: <b>Adrian Meredith, Fr\u00e9d\u00e9ric Goncerut<\/b><br \/>\nClient: <b>EPFL+ECAL Lab et ALICE Studio EPFL<\/b>\n<\/p>\n<div class=\"arx_pad_1\">\n<a href=\"http:\/\/www.epfl-ecal-lab.ch\/\" target=\"_blank\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/cause.ch\/lab\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/04\/EPFL_ECAL_LAB_LOGO.jpg\" alt=\"EPFL_ECAL_LAB_LOGO\" width=\"282\" height=\"50\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-925\" \/><\/a>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"arx_pad_1\">\n<a href=\"http:\/\/alice.epfl.ch\/\" target=\"_blank\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/cause.ch\/lab\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/11\/ALICE-LOGO.png\" alt=\"ALICE LOGO\" width=\"77\" height=\"35\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-975\" \/><\/a>\n<\/div>\n<p class=\"arx_1 center_content arx_pad_0\">\nThe <i>Porte des Savoirs<\/i> (lit. <i>Gate of Knowledge<\/i>) mandate concerned the creation of a video documenting a project developed by the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.epfl-ecal-lab.ch\/\" target=\"_blank\">EPFL+ECAL Lab<\/a> together with epfl&#8217;s <a href=\"http:\/\/alice.epfl.ch\/\" target=\"_blank\">ALICE<\/a> studio, the University of Lausanne (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.unil.ch\/\u200e\" target=\"_blank\">UNIL<\/a>) and the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.chuv.ch\/\u200e\" target=\"_blank\">CHUV<\/a>, at the service of the <i> <a href=\"http:\/\/www.vaudoise.ch\/fr\/\" target=\"_blank\">la Vaudoise<\/a><\/i> insurance company.\n<\/p>\n<p class=\"arx_1 center_content arx_pad_1\">\nTo mark the insurance company&#8217;s opening of a new agency in Epalinges, north of Lausanne, just a few steps away from M2&#8217;s (Lausanne&#8217;s north-south metro Line) final station, <i>Croisettes<\/i>, <i>la Vaudoise<\/i> commissioned Lausanne&#8217;s polytechnic &#038; arts schools laboratory to build a conceptual installation based on interactive immersion, a <i><a href=\"http:\/\/www.epfl-ecal-lab.ch\/index.php\/projects\/la-porte-des-savoirs\/\">Gate of Knowledge<\/a><\/i> to symbolize its commitment to innovation, architecture and culture throughout it&#8217;s region.\n<\/p>\n<p class=\"arx_1 center_content arx_pad_1\">\n<i>&#8220;The new agency&#8217;s location was crucial to the project&#8217;s conception: situated at the start of a metro line leading to the university institutions, as well as at the heart of the <i>Biop\u00f4le<\/i>, a vast complex linked to health and development of new technologies. Meanwhile an insurer&#8217;s mission is not only the backing of a risk, but also the task of accompanying through life&#8217;s decisions, helping to prevent &#038; to anticipate.
